The Enemy Play HMV
The Enemy were an indie rock band, active from 2006- 2016 and originally formed in Coventry. Both Andy Hopkins on bass and drummer Liam Watts originated in Coventry with lead vocalist Tom Clarke nearby in Birmingham. In 2006, the band were an opening act at Godiva festival, where they continued to play for the next two years, making their way to headliners there.
Throughout their career the band supported Oasis, The Fratellies and Kasabian on their UK tours. Playing Glastonbury twice during their career as well as headlining the ‘Futures’ tent at T in the Park.
More locally, the band have performed sell out shows in Empire, the Cathedral ruins, and also right here in HMV. They have returned several times during their success, for in- store personal meet and greets with fans.
